That's still a bit early to really see improvement, if that's any consolation. I guess 3 months is the norm to see a difference. I did slowly start to feel better fairly soon after treatment (around beginning of January...I started Oct 31 to be exact) but really felt the full effect as of the past month.
My Crohn's is atypical to begin with, my pain problem being lots of bleeding (never had much D), narrow stools, pain, and generally feeling crappy. I guess to put it in perspective, when I started Humira I was barely getting by with at least 10-11 hours of sleep a night. Now I'm a regular college student again and can manage on 6-7, though I try to keep it at 8. So in that respect it's been great. Plus I can eat a hell of a lot more variety.
I think the diet change has made the biggest difference to be honest, and I hope the GFCF diet works for you. I ESPECIALLY hope you get off the Pred. That's some horrible stuff. For me, I'm not Gluten Free, but Wheat Free. I think my main problem with wheat was breaking down the fiber matrix of the stuff, particularly in bread form. I'd get HORRIBLY ill when I ate a piece of bread. So while I'm not careful about salad dressings, soups, or fried foods, I just stay away from the things where the main ingredient is wheat. Maybe just something to keep in mind as you figure out the diet that works. Overall, I find leaving out the wheat forces me to eat better as well as eat more often, so I'm snacking on good stuff like fruit (which I can eat again!) instead of processes, wheat-y stuff.
