2 years after resection and disease is back

Im back and so is the disease. It has only been 2 years and i went for my scope Friday and they said that i have inflamation and ulcers at the end of the small intestine. So now i guess i will be going on meds again. When i done the prep for the scope i could only drink about half and i could not drink anymore then the next day i was hurting so bad before the scope. so I know it was not from the scope and every time i move alot  i hurt. Im guessing the mirilax and gaterade upset my intestines. anyway i have not been on in a while and thought i would update. have a nice day. Barb

You haven't taken any meds since your resection? EEK!!! I am a 100% firm believer in maintainence meds, especially after a resection. I only take Asacol, one of the mildest meds there is. Microscopic inflammation can be going on even when you feel healthy. I learned the hard way about not taking maintainence meds, because I ended up with an emergency resection.

Were you having any symptoms before your scope? If not, I would get on some type of maintainence med soon and stop things before you do become symptomatic. Good luck!
