To start, I don't actually know if I have Crohn's or not. I was diagnosed with IBS about 5 years ago, the last time I had symptoms serious enough to make me see a doctor. Over the past 5 years though, I really haven't had many symptoms. However, since January, I have been having loose, frequent bowel movements (although in the past couple of weeks, they have been more 'normal'). I have been to my doctor several times and he has done bloodwork and stool samples, all of which came back normal. He screened for blood in my stool too, and it was negative. He pretty much seems to think it's all in my head, which is really starting to make me angry!!!! Anyways. I have two main concerns: the first is that I've had narrowed stool on and off in the last 5 or 6 months, which is freaking me out and making me wonder if I have colon cancer? And the second is the PAIN. I don't have the abdominal pain every day (which is one of the reasons that I am completely baffled by all of this!), but when I do have it, it is very low down and almost seems to go all the way across my abdomen. There are times when it is worse on the right side.... initially, I thought there was something going on with my ovary, but that's been ruled out. The only other 'symptom' I've had is a really sore throat for several weeks. It is extremely inflamed, but there are no ulcers. I guess my question is if this has ever happened to anyone else in pregnancy? I thought IBD was supposed to go into remission during pregnancy? And also, did anyone else have these kind of vague symptoms with no bleeding and have it still turn out to be Crohn's? I am 31 and have no family history of CD. Thanks.....
