No Bowel Movements? at all!!!

Hi everyone,

l have just started my medication to control my CD this is my 2nd day on steriods and salofalk

i have had 1 bowel movement last night and today i have had none at all which i am not used to, these medication either work really fast or i am in seroius trouble meaning i am on my way to having a blockage prehaps? anyhow my tummy is bloated and feels tight not much discomfort.

Any ideas on whats going on with me, is this a normal response to treatment?

The steriod is prednisolone starting with 50mg per day at moment

It's hard to say, I know that the Prednisone worked for me to firm up and slow down my BM. I just don't remember how fast it happened. All of my blockages started with pain and it increased in intensity as the hours passed.

It's amazing how we get so excited about having a bowel movement. I remember my first one after having surgery, my wife and I would have broke out the bottle of bubblie if we could have.

Prednisone is a very fast acting med. It works really quickly for me, firming up the stool and quieting things down quickly. Glad to hear you finally went:)
