Hi everyone! I have not posted in quite sometime; but I come to read often.
So for an update: I am 20 months in remission, no meds, with a very strict diet (no gluten, no dairy, no preservatives - I was low residue for a whiloe, but being preganat was too limiting).
I learned I was pregnant at 4 weeks and I will be 9 weeks on Tuesday! So exciting! I have not had any flare symptoms, but I have been experiencing some really crazy nausea. I have only vomitted once; and I feel like I fight it for the rest of the day. It is wreaking havoc on my ability to get into work, and work effectively, and I am so exhausted all of the time...With the immune system already compromised and the demands the body makes on the immune system while pregnant - I have caught the nastiest sore throat and head cold....I am hoping this won't be a preview to the next 7 months. Lots of bloating and gas, but the BM's are still fantastic!
I am very health conscious and manage my disease without meds (I fully respect those that are on medications - and that they may not have a choice...I am also resigned to the fact that someday I may have to be on something). All of this to say that I am not too sure about taking an anti-nausea medication (Diclectin)....anyone been on this?
I also have not told work about my pregnancy....we are waiting for the 12 weeks and after our first ultrasound before we announce, so its hard to "fake" being well at work...how can I get around this...or should I just tell my boss and no one else?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
