Is there some magical treatment for hemorrhoids?????

Most hemorrhoids do not go away, but they can shrink to a less problematic size. Products like proctosol or proctocream have worked for me to lessen the painful episodes. Those are cortisone based ointments. They usually come with an applicator that can help with internal ones too if they are close to the opening. I have also been given lidocaine gel to apply to numb them temporarily when having BMs.

Also, make sure your under garments and pants/shorts aren't too tight and aggravating the area. If I am having a painful episode, only 100% cotton undies work for me. Anything else traps moisture and heat and seems to make them worse. Also, avoid straining because that can cause them too enlarge or others to form.

Great. I have not been straining, but I have been really constipated this month. Can you get proctosol & proctocream over the counter?

I only have one painful bump there, so I think it's a hemmy. I can push it in, but it just comes right back out.

It's very unpleasant... I just had an abscess that had went away about a month ago, and now it's this. If it's not one thing, it's another....
