enema didn't work -prep for seton placement tomorrow

Hi,

I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow..i followed the directions and did the enema..but i didn't get cramps or diarrhea..i went to the bathroom..only once? Could it be that my Crohn's was acting up all day and i already went to the bathroom five times earlier? I followed the directions..some leaked out..but i think that is normal...thanks in advance

The prep enema I did for my seton placement didn’t do much either – but I had not eaten anything that day so that was probably why. I wouldn’t worry if it doesn’t feel like it’s worked enough – if you shot all of the stuff up there it should have done its job!

oh thanks for replying..okay i won't worry...i didn't eat that much..plus i already before i even took it..went to the bathroom too many times...now lets hope this seton thing doesn't hurt..thanks again

That’s ok don’t mention it! I remember doing mine and expecting hell and thinking….. “:that’s it???” – Good luck with your seton placement tomorrow. They are brilliant little things, the way that they work.
