Itchy, itchy hemorrhoids

My hemorrhoids have not really bothered me like this before. Now, they are so itchy. I take baths, sitz baths, and I have taken Hydrocortisone 10 yesterday and today. They help, but sometimes they itch too much. I will probably go to the pharmacy today, but I saw there are lots of hemorrhoid medications. Any advice?

The itch may be a bacterial or fungal infection in the raw tissue. Try something antibacterial/antifungal - sorry no suggestions. You might also ask your doctor about it.

go to the pharmacy..and get this ointment called..calmoseptine...its incredible..the itch will go away...i think often these things itch..because the skin is healing..and sometimes...its so irritated..usually from so much soaking..that we dry ourselves out down there..its always everything in moderation..trust me..i often over..do everything...you won't be sorry..you have this ointment..its behind the pharmacy counter

I recommend going to your local hardware, bath, superstore, pharmacy etc. and get a removable shower head. Get in the shower and blast those things with as hot as possible water, soap up repeat. If possible, after every BM hop into the shower and repeat the above, I've got it down so only one leg gets wet. Try to  not even wipe as that seems to make it worse.

Wet wipes help too. I will use one before actually using the restroom to help prevent irritation and then after. Mind you not all of them are biodegradable. Just make sure to find the ones that are flushable...I neglected to do so on one occasion :/

walmart has a shower sprayer 15 dollars...its a lifesaver!!!!!!

the Calmoseptine is behind the counter usually. I use it for my hemmies. It does help but doesn't eliminate itch completely. I don't think anything can 100% fix the problem shakehead
