So, we go to the doctor today for the endoscope- he told my husband to stay on the omeprazle becauuse of his high acid content.
He is "hesitant"to call my husba'nds condition crohn's because hethinks it is IBS-
the pahtology report said that he had profuse peyers patches (what the heck are those anyways) and the differential diagnosis is crohn's colitis along with medicne induced colitis- i'm thinking that was from the osmo prep.
THey also told my husband that he is not making any pancreatic enzymes- so they want him to take something called creon 10. Can't he just take a digestive enzyme instead of going right for the big stuff? He's supposed to take 2 at each meal and one at every snack-
he has too much fat in his bowels- which is obviously why he is so tired and lost more weight, because he's noteven breaking down his food.
He also had a moderate case of diverticulosis.....
This doctor is not big on any "natural"anything- but from w hat i've read
he should be on a good multi vitamin
probiotics
fish oil (omega fatty acids)
calcium/magnesium
digestive enzyme-
I'm not a doctor, but I think that it cant hurt to try these things, first.. before we go right for the creon 10- which is full of other stuff that i'd rather not go down that trail if we don't have to, right now.
I need a few opinions from been there/done that people.
