I'm sorry, snappy. I'm no wine expert either. I did a quick google search and found out dry wines have "less than 1.4% or so residual sugar", whatever that means! The site also listed a few names of dry red wines as: Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Merlot and Pinot Noir. Shows what I know. I would have guessed a couple of those to lean to the sweeter end of things.
I have a friend who is very knowledgeable about
wines. I once asked her for a recommendation on a good dry red wine and she said Cabernet Sauvignon.
Maybe call or go to a store that specializes in wines and ask them what they would recommend! Cheers!
