Yup, at the time I was in remission though.
When I went to get it they spent half hour consulting with other doctors in the place as no one knew if I should take it or not as in the leaflet it specified Crohn's as being an issue (due to malabsorption) and were threatening to fit me with a coil instead! But then they decided that as I was in remission to take it and see if I had side-effects and that if I didn't have side-effects they'd assume I hadn't absorbed it and to come back for the coil (on methotrexate they didn't want to chance a pregnancy) so I took it (2 pills in one go) and oh dear lord the side effects were horrific! I needed to be sick so badly but wouldn't let myself for at least 12 hours so i wouldn't fail, felt sick AND was being sick for about 3 days and bled for 9! It didn't make me flare after though but I was younger then and very fit and been in remissioon for over a year, but despite those side-effects I'd probably choose that over chancing having to have an abortion.
Its probably worth going and talking to someone at a clinic or wherever and they might be able to help you establish whether its necessary or not and weigh up pro's and con's?
