I was wondering if anyone else suffers from headaches for the last 2 or 3 weeks I have been having severe headaches daily.  Could this be the Humira? May it be linked with the CD?

I have also been suffering from headaches daily for the last month or so.....I thought I was not drinking enough water at first.  But I continue to get them regardless of hom much water I drink or what medication I'm on.

I did, but they came and went really. If they persist then you should probably set up an appointment with a neurologist. My GI suggested as much anyway if things persisted. Just keep an eye on it...
I didn't get these until I started taking humira, for the record.

about a year ago, I had horrible headaches for about 2 weeks..I used ibuprofen...I know, not good. Landed me in a flare. I went to my gi and she gave me darvocet for them. It helps. I had an apt. with her about 3 months after that and she asked how my headaches where. I still was still getting alot of them, so she suggested I take a zrytec every night. So I started last Dec. and I don't miss a night taking it! I hardly ever have a headache anymore.

I have been experiencing headaches as well, but they don't seem to be related to anything like ( sleep, hydration,foodetc..)  They just come and go when they please.  I think it is related to CD.

There has been a small correlation between crohns and migraines.

Yeah, I've lately been getting headaches, as well.. I think I can actually go back to when I was first diagnosed with CD that I've experienced some painful migraines. Never used to have such headaches until then.. But it is on and off.

So was waking up with headaches a couple times a week all summer. Couldn't figure out what it was...thought it was possibly blood pressure or a lack of some type of nutrition. After a routine blood check I found out my sugar was too high. Was dxs with type 2 diabetes and now watching my sugars. Now, the headaches in the morning are gone.

Humira gave me horrible headaches. Migraines almost everyday.

I get migraines. No fun. I take Treximet for them probably twice a month on average, but it really varies...I can go two months with no migraine, and then have three a week. I held off on getting a migraine diagnosis for a long time...just couldn't deal with one more thing, you know? But I'm so glad i did, because the migraine meds make the headache go completely away. From what I've read, Humira can cause headaches...I've suffered from migraines for years and was nervous about starting humira as a result...I've been lucky though as my headaches have not increased since starting humira...I agree with everyone above, you should see a neurologist for the headaches...

I have been suffering bad with headaches the pounding behind eyes and thru temple is unbelievable nothing takes it away except a gravol might help for a few hours n sleeping ......let us know how you r doing....lyn

Hi,

I've had crohn's for 30 years and have never had a problem with headaches until I started Humira.   My GI told me it is definately a side effect of the medication.  They have not become bad enough that I am willing to discontinue the Humira.   I do notice though that there is a pattern meaning I know I will get a headache within 2 hours of taking my needle.  I notice that I also cough more with the Humira.

I have suffered from migraines though for a long time.  I had been on Elavil to prevent them then when there was a thought to having children (before my divorce) my neurologist took me off of them.  I was doing so well off of it that it was decided I would not go back on them.  I had many more headaches while on Remicade as opposed to Humira but the recent headaches have been a daily ordeal.  Granted a day or so after this post I was suffering from a fever etc and now have a sore throat but prior to this I was having them all to often
