Well, the first surgery I had scheduled I wasn't even in an appointment with him, I was with my GI and my GI called him into the room and told him I was in bad shape...he made the surgery for the following Friday (he only does surgeries on Fridays). All of the abscess surgeries I've had have been emergency and he left appointments for me. This surgery coming up we have been planning for a while he wanted to see if the fistula I have would heal by itself before doing surgery...it hasn't. I was supposed to have the surgery in Sept but I got super sick with a flare, so he pushed it back to Nov 13th, but he has a patient who I guess needs to get in quickly so he called me personally and actually asked my permission to take her before me. He is very caring and compasionate. I can tell you that he will try to get you in as quickly as possible, but if he has an emergency or knows in his heart someone needs to get in quicker then you...he will set you back, trust me though, he is an amazing surgeon and person in general and totally worth waiting for.
The next time you see him, tell him Melissa and her mom say hi....he will totally know who your talking about, and he will be like "what!!? how do you know them!?" haha.
