Have you tried an exercise machine like the totaly gym? It is very easy on the joints and you can do all kinds of exercise on it. It's like a pilates machine. HSN.com used to have them and still may, for a decent price. The real total gym advertised by Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley is pretty expensive. I tried weight watchers, counted the points, lost 2 whole pounds in 9 weeks and got so discouraged that I quit. I can go to 1200 calories and can't loose much weight. I have not found the right balance of food intake:exercise that works for me. I swim a lot in warm weather but have noticed if I exercise heavily and sweat, then I can lose weight. With my fatigue issues, it's just impossible to do that 3 -5 times a week. But, the total gyn does make you feel more toned and can slim you down some. I think any kind of exercise that you can stand is helpful even if you aren't loosing the pounds on the scale. You are increasing muscle mass.

You can eat whatever you like on Weight Watchers, you just have to track it. It have a pretty bad stricture at my jejunum and have to avoid most veggies and fruits and have lost the weight via weight watchers while avoiding those items. It has a good support group also! I'm back on steroids and fighting the battle again (weight gain)! Hate those steroids! :(
Good luck!

To lose weight:
google low carb diet, make all your bread and cakes, desserts, and sweet stuff by using almond flour instead of wheat flour. The intestines will relax and react super, the weight will be reduced and you will be happier. Low carb diet is a super way of being a big loser, the other way is by following the SCD, the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. See: www.scdiet.org /Bee

Navy-I was just looking online at the HMR shakes. Do you drink 3 a day of them? I was thinking of ordering some, but only doing 2 a day and adding other foods.

I found that I have gained a lot of weight on antidepressants. I have been sick as a dog with IBD unable to eat anything except broth and yogurt for 10 weeks and only lost 3 pounds!!! For my stomach now, I've had to cut back on the salads and that helped me to gain 5 more pounds this year. I did have some luck when I was taking wellbutrin at loosing weight but it didn't work for depression on me, so I had to go off. My new thought was to add the wellbutrin to the zoloft. I hope this may help with the weight issue. For me, it is down to exercising many times a week and most of the time I don't feel well enough to do this. I do think I am going to sign up at the Y and give it a try. I am older and can't do those high impact classes like I once did when I was thin. I also lead a much more sedentary life at work sitting behind a desk. All of these things add on the pounds. I hate it because I once was a perfect size 6.
