crohn's, Factor II mutation & 6 mp

I've had CD that I've know now for 5 yrs and just recently found out that I have Factor II mutation which is a blod clotting disorder.  I havent had any prob. yet but my dad almosted died from a pulmonary embolism last year and was wondering if anyone else has a blood clot disorder.  Additionaly, I'm getting ready to start taking 6 mp and would like to know what to expect I've taken Pentesa (made hair fall out) Asacol (doesnt even feel like it helps actually makes my bleed more and my stomach bloat more) I've taken steroids in past and now they want to put me on 6 mp I'm alittle scarred I get sick easy anyway and have two little kids.  Do you get sick easy on this drug, does it make you tired, because I already have such chronic fatigue I can hardly stay awake.  I worry about how this will make me feel I want to be able to do more with my kids not less.  Plus I have anxiety

In the beginning when I was put on 6mp I would get some nausea and a little fatigue. He told me to take it first thing in the morning, the side effects made for a long day. But then I switched it to bedtime and I had no further problems. I did have hair loss with this med, but by taking more Folic Acid and if you can tolerate it some Biotin will help ease the hairloss. Its not like hairloss from chemo, it just sheds a little more. This is a great med to help get you into remission and keeping you there. It takes about 3-4 months to reach full efficacy, but we have folks on this very forum are taking it and have great success, some even for up to 10 years. Also, be sure to get your regular blood tests done too. Good luck and I hope I was of some help.

Oh and regarding the anxiety many folks suffer with it related to their Crohns too. When I get anxious it really triggers my IBS too. I take my Xanax at the first hint of it and that works well for me. I only take it 3 times or so each month. Hugs!

Thanks so much for the suggestions, I will def get some folic asid, I do have xanax, I do take it once in a blue mood but I have horable mood swings I dont know if its all the meds I'm on, hormonal or just because I'm so tired or a combination.  I was suppose to start the 6 mp two wks ago but I have a head cold I cant get ride of and dont want to start it being that I'm sick.  When you went into remission did your stomach bloating go away.  Mine can be so bad some days people ask me if I'm preg & of course being a woman is hurtful.  I'm worried about the fatigue that 6 mp will cause because I already take Provigil to help me stay awake and even on it I'm still very tired I look it this morning 200mg and I'm already ready for a nap.  I cant emagine being anymore tired;(
