Doxycycline and Depression? Is this a legitimate risk?

I was given a week-long prescription of doxycycline by my dermatologist for folliculitis. As usual, I did a quick google search of the medicine and found some surprising information about incidences of first-time depression diagnosis while on doxycycline--even for short periods.

While I have not had issues with depression, it does run in my family. I am also finishing up my last quarter of college and am under the most stress I have ever been under. Overall, the combination worries me.

Has anyone had experience with this antibiotic? Is this a legitimate concern or just a magnified side effect?
