Anyone know what burnt out Crohns disease means?

I current have Crohns in my colon. Just got my Xray results back from a barium meal and my specialist said they found 4 inches of burnt out Crohns disease in my small bowel but I have no idea what burnt out Crohns is. He told me the results via email so have not had chance to speak to him yet. Does anyone have any idea what this is?

My old GI used that term and from what I understood (and this was quite a bit ago and I do not feel well today, so huge caveat that I could be completely wrong). But from what I understand it seems it is where there was ulcer over ulcer that scared up and narrowed the passage. It could mean stricturing and stenious, but like I say this has a huge caveat.
