In sports, that is known as the kiss of death. Well, I had an appointment with my new GI in February. I proceeded to tell him what a lucky Crohnnie I am and how, even with not taking my Pentasa, I have not had much in the way of pain. Ever since then, my symptoms have been growing.
Horrible burping. Ever increasing nasty heart burn to the point last night that I could not swallow. Gut pain and bloating from everything I eat. Generally feeling crummy. Blahhhhhhhhh. Bad karma or just coincidence??? I don't care!!!!!
Believe it or not, I am looking at this as a positive in some ways. I am scheduled for a scope on Friday for a fresh picture for the new GI. Maybe he will see something that no other GI found.
Downside...I don't want to be so sick that the new guy starts pushing the big meds. I really am a lucky one usually. Only 1 OP hospital visit since my original surgery and very limited use of pred. My main problems are not internal.
Now...will the bisicodyl (sp?) tablets make me toss cookies like they did last time......hopefully not as the prep is yucky enough then add this heartburn and potential for blech.......ok so I am rambling. I should learn to just not say anything....that would make my husband happier and maybe I would not curse myself again!
