Non-Crohn's related trip to ER

I had the 'pleasure' of spending 3 hours in the ER for heart palpitations. My blood work was really interesting - for one thing, my TSH came back at 5.260. I'm hypothyroid.

So now I have 3 different doctor appointments - Cardiologist, Endocrinologist and my Primary Care Physician. All three will no doubt spin off more appointments. FUN FUN FUN!

I've been taking a beta blocker for PVCs and a pill for high blood pressure. I'm not sure if the PVCs got worse or what. Blood pressure is normal. So who knows whats going on. I know one thing though -- Once I figure out what is causing the heart palpitations, I want to go out and get loaded! I haven't been drunk in well over 5 years.

One good thing came out of all this. For the first time since I had my bowel resection surgery and then started 6MP (summer 2005), my liver enzymes are NORMAL!! That made my day. It's strange, I have all these problems, and Crohn's isn't in the mix. I probably shouldn't have said that.

I had to go a couple weeks ago for chest pain (and I have a history of blood clots in my lungs)...which turned out to be nothing!!! I was relieved, but like you, had to follow up with a couple docs to make sure there was nothing else going on.

Also, I had high liver enzymes for about 9 months, and had bloodwork done last week, which finally came back normal!! I was going to have to have a liver biopsy, but now I don't!

We've got to really be thankful when things go normal for us! There aren't a lot of times when we get great news.

I hope all turns out well with your follow up appointments!
