EXCELLENT, THANKS. Was up until 2 AM watching the multiple ten minute videos - have to find time to see the rest today.
He does an incredible job of weaving together evidence-based research. I was already aware that recent research suggested Chronies have a weaker immune system, which means traditional meds, mostly immunosuppresants, might be focused on the wrong problem. He discusses such findings and builds a case, step by step, weaving one research study into another. He finds, for instance, that the NOD2 genetic mutation does not mean a defective response to all bacteria, but to particular bacteria. And then identifies which bacteria.
He seems fairly humble, admitting the limits of the research done to date, but in my opinion this guy deserves a prize, as the work he has done, especially recently, eclipses the work of the traditional Old Guard, Dr. Present, Hanauer (yes, even Hanauer), et al, who don't seem to have the faintest understanding of what our intestinal flora is doing.
