Isn't having crohns enough? Why do doctors have to constantly find stuff to worry about?

Ok, so I go see my GP dr today for followup on my urinalysis a month ago. It came back clean again this time which is great. Two clean urines in a month!! However, as she is doing a general exam she hears a noise she does not like on my left side where my renal artery is. Ok, so now back to freaking out that I might still have an issue with my kidneys. She said my right side was ok. no sounds. She was not overly concerned but she wanted me to have it done just so we could put it in the chart and not have to worry about it. I have very normal blood pressure - today it was 100/68 so I don't have the typical signs of anything wrong but of course now I will worry until I get it done and get the results. I did have blood work done on the kidneys a month ago and all that came back normal. I also had an abdominal ultrasound in January that came back normal. This up and down roller coaster ride is the pits!

absolutely, but I am just tired of being stressed out by this. It has been nothing but stress and worry the last 4 years and not all of it due to health. I had just thought we were past the possible Kidney issues and it comes up again.

yes, I am sure you are right. I am determined not to worry about it until I have to. I talked to my sister about it and she said given all my other tests came back normal I should not be overly worried. (she is a nurse practitioner). The doc told me she did just want to be thorough and be able to put in my file they ran all the necessary tests to give me clean bill of health. For my kidneys at least. Thank you both for your perspective on this. I am going to look at this as a positive and know that if it is an issue at least it was caught and we can treat it. that is why I so like this board. You can post something being so frustrated and people can give you a different perspective.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you there is no lupus. It seems crazy to me that we have to be afflicted with so many things at once. One night I was praying and I said I know we have all been told that you would not give us more than we could handle. well, God I think you got the wrong girl!! But I guess I am still here fighting. I am humbled by all the people in this board that I see have been fighting this for years. When I read it I feel like my issues are petty but noone has made me feel like that here and that is a blessing.
