Humiria ..... is it gonna work ..:-(

Hiya,  so been on Remicade for the last 4 yrs ..... had a wonderful time  ....ate almost everything  I wanted .... got kinda complacent .... even a wee bit cocky .... but .... anyhoo ....I've now  built up antibody's to Remicade  !!!!   Had a wee trip to ER ...first in 5 yrs .... am now on Humiria .... had first 6 injections .... and I have to say .....not doing much .... still in pain .... thought it would've kicked in by now!!!!  I'm starting to think resection might not be too bad .... if they can leave the valve????    Am I impatient???? .....or is it gonna work soon???  Oh an p.s ..... been on the evil Prednisone ...... and will ma big moonface disappear quick when finished in a week  ....not that I'm vain ...but got a wedding to attend week after I'm off em ...  and  not wanting to buy spanx lol .

It takes time for crohns meds to work. I just hope you feel well enough to the wedding.

I also built up antibodies to Remicade. My doctor told me that on Humira, I would really only have a 30% success rate. I opted for a resection at that point. My Crohn's returned 6 months later, and my doctor put me on Humira. It took a while, but I've been on it for over a year and have finally achieved remission! Just give it a chance.

Give it more time! It did not start to work for me until after 12 shots.
For some it can take up to 6 months
