So I am having surgery on June 11th to take out my colon and rectum. I noticed since Saturday the pain has gotten 10x worse. I have disease in my left decending colon and the rectum.

It almost feels like something is stuck there or something. I am almost afraid to eat anything cause I know it's going to hurt.  Right now I am on 60mg of prednisone and have been since July of 09'. I have also been bleeding since then its gotten a lot worse the last few days.

Its hard to deal with cause I am at work and there are no bathrooms and what makes it worse is when I bend over or try to lift something heavy, which I do all day.

I took pain medicine and that didn't even help. Also I am getting a lot of hiccups and I had a fever yesterday.

Anyone know what this could be?

Sorry to hear about the amount of discomfort your are in. Are you having D? Maybe you should stick to a soft diet for a few days and let things settle down. Is there any way you can avoid the heavy lifting? Where exactly is the pain and is it steady?

Yeah I am having D. Not as much is coming out and I have to push hard. I can't really avoid the heavy lifting, unless I take off work. I told my boss I would work until the 9th, but I don't think I will make it that long. I am going to try and finish out the week. I become hot, tingly and numb when the pain gets bad.
The pain is mostly on the left side and feels like a bad cramp, kinda like if you eat or drink and go running.
I would go to the doctor, but there is nothing they can really do for me besides admit me and possibly have emergency surgery which I don't want because everything is already planned out for the 11th.
