I have read that some on here are using Low Dose Naltrexone. I have a friend with Crohn's that it was very successful for, but my doctor will not prescribe it. He was not at all familiar with it and had never heard of the clinical trial for Crohn's in regards to LDN.
I have been trying to find a doctor in the Louisville, KY area that will prescribe it but to no success. I read that come people buy the 50 mg naltrexone online and then mix their own LDN. Anyone on here do that? With any success?

I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself. It should be done by an experienced compounder.
Also, my experience with LDN was bad, it made my disease worse. But that's my opinion on it. Just be careful if/when you take it.

Thanks spookyhurst. Those directions match the other info I found. Sounds pretty easy and minimal risk. I am wanting to time it with my Prednisone taper and am tired of waiting for a doctor to help, doesn't seem anyone in the area is familiar with LDN. I even had the info on the clinical trial in Hershey PA and my doctor did not seem interested. I think I have done my homework, I won't be on any immunosuppresors when I start and will bevfollowing a no sugar and no wheat diet which I hear helps.
What pharmacy online to you order from?

I ordered from All Day Chemist in India. It cost about
$75 shipped for thirty 50MG pills, which is pretty close to a years worth. I got the little 4 ounce amber jar from an online vitamin store for under $2. When I looked, most of the big online vitamin stores carried them. The oral syringes I got at the local pharmacy.
Good luck!
