My second Pentasa baby is here!

Just had my second perfect Pentasa baby. The pregnancy was great and defied all of the possible Crohn's things docs warn about (no flares, not preterm --one week past his date! -- easy natural delivery ...). He's still at the hospital from an infection (not related to my CD), but should be home soon.

Just wanted those expecting or thinking about it to know that you can have a good, healthy pregnancy, delivery and baby with this disease.

I want to get pregnant within the year, but I'm scared because of the Remicade and Pentasa I'm on. Did you flare up at all during the pregnancy? I don't want the pregnancy to make my Crohn's worse, but my symptoms have abated over the 2 1/2 years since I've been diagnosed. I don't think I'm in remission, but fear this is as good as it's going to get. I don't want to miss my window of remission to get pregnant but we aren't ready just yet.

That is wonderful news! I felt much better pregnant. All my CD symptoms were gone and I could eat anything, of course it was years ago, but still.... Congrats, I hope your son is home soon.
