Well, that was one of the worst 48hr period I've had in a long time. I vomited from dawn to dusk yesterday!!
Every time they put meds in the Iv I would vomit, even Zofran made me throw up. They gave me dilaudid,
morphine and even scaled it down to demerol, all ended the same way. Deep vomiting. I honestly don't know
what the deal was, but I ended up back on my oral meds, and asked to come home, as no-one had an answer
to the awful response to the IV drugs. Plus the fact there was no point in staying there, because I could rest and
take vicodin at home.
Has this happened to any of you guys? How can I react to all those drugs...

How horrible! You poor thing; you must be worn out after all that deep vomiting.
Are you managing at home? Are you able to keep any food or liquid down?
So sorry you had to go through that :-(.
Ivy.

I'm keeping food down, but diarrhea is horrendous. I'm okayish, but really would like to know why
no-one seemingly looked into reasons for my obvious reactions. I think next time I need the hospital,
I will take a trip to the big one in St. Louis, not this small one in my home town. After all that's where
my specialist are....

Vicki: Gosh, glad your home -do you think this is all viral? As for traveling any distance, don't know how it could be done when nothin wants to stay in the right place - unless you bag up all the seats in your car. Best, glad your home and in one piece.

Yikes, that sounds awful. I hope by now you're feeling better. I know a few people here in the Detroit area who have had the flu within the last week, so maybe it was viral, as someone had mentioned earlier. You could have been vomiting from the virus and not the meds. Just a thought...Take care. SB

Big Hug(((((((Dunny))))))))) . be careful you dont dehydrate girl. Thats a bad thing. Hope you feel better soon...By the way, we keep the little throwup bags they give you in the ER in the car all the time. I never know when I will lose my lunch. I hate the clean up in the car when that happens....

Erm, yes, I would think that they'd want to know what was causing your symptoms too.
It seems incredible that they sent you home, ill, without even a diagnosis.
Ivy.
