flare-up and gastro bug

My Daughter (almost 3yrs) has crohn's and she has been flaring up the last few weeks with joint and tummy pain. Anyway she isn't too bad at the moment but my son has a gastro bug today, threw up in his bed yesterday and today and now had D.  The isn't too bad in general though, but anyway I am really worried my daughter will get it, as she is systematic anyway. So my question is have you ever had a gastro bug while having a flare-up, what happened? Did it just go away after a few days or did it trigger the flare to a more acute phase?

I have. I can't really explain how I even knew it was different than a typical pain/vomiting flare but I just knew somehow. Sure enough, even after feeling like DEATH for about 24 hours, I was fine (well back to normal) after that. It didn't trigger anything different or special.

I have had 2 episodes of full-on Food Poisoning, with no flare. Stomach bugs? Don't worry about them much..
