ah yes the morning dump! woke up this morning and same thing hit the bathroom right away. did my duty. went to go sit down got all comfy WAIT THERES MORE! rush to the bathroom again did my duty. went to go sit down got all comfy but guess what THERES MORE! maybe third times a charm!

My mornings too, and that's after having taken an immodium the night before so I could sleep thru the night without having to go 1-3 times. For whatever reason, my guts have a thing about me laying down to go to sleep. That's when THEY seem to wake up.

These days I have almost the opposite problem and, tbh, I preferred the morning rush. At least it was predictable. The way it is now, I don't know when I'll go or if I'll go. Two mornings ago I didn't go at all. Then this morning I woke up at some ungodly hour, lied in bed for ages while my stomach gurgled and burbled away, finally had an urge to go, went, and then couldn't get back to sleep. Bleurgh.

Three!! Sometimes I'm looking at least ten, and that's just the morning. five is my normal. BLAH!!!!

Mornings thats no problem. It's when it happens in the middle of the night another story. You startle awake on the throne for the 3rd or 4th time and wonder if it's safe to go back to bed. That's when I hate this DD.

Yup, sounds normal to me.....I get up an extra half-hour earlier now to accomodate my waking bowels, lol.

That exactly is the reason my Kindle is on my bathroom counter, within reaching distance from the "throne". It's amazing how much reading I get in some days.

I remember the days I had only 1 trip before leaving the house for the day....aaaah, how I miss those days!

This "returning" to restroom just after leaving it used to bother me. I felt it made no sense and something serious was going on (more than usual). But we mature... and get used to things other may think inimaginable.

Now, it only bothers me  when I'm hurt down there. :P

I had a bad morning too. Probably 8 times!! Ugh!!!!!!! But, at least I wasn't in pain, I just had to go a lot and quickly.

I also get the sweats and rapid heart beat with it too. Yesterday, I was hot all day long, didn't sleep well, should have known, this would be a bad day. Should have taken an imodium before I went to bed. But, I was bad yesterday and had quite a bit of caffeine in the form of tea, my favorite beverage and just ate too much in general. Am on a round of flagyl right now and that got me out of pain, thank you Jesus!!!!!! But, if it's not one thing, is another with IBD.

Can so relate! I wake up, open my eyes and it sends a message to my BOWELS!!!! Wake the Hel* UP!!! Morning pain is the worst. Used to love mornings. I'd go for walks and even back in the day a run. NO MORE! Just me, the toilet and a little Matt Lauer and depending how long I go possibly "The View"...

I'd prefer to call them morning floods. Dump just seems so solid. ;-)
