I am having symptoms , which I don't know anymore what they are?....I have  crohns for 28 years. and these symptoms feel more of

 gynecological symptoms, a friend of mine says maybe I am going through pre-menopause, does anybody know what symptoms that would

be?...I just don't feel well at all. I am so tired. I went to a gynecologist and he says to take birth control pills. He did not even exam me!

I am 44 years old.

I am going through some gynecological stuff too at the moment. It IS age related, in the sense that mid 40's is when certain things regularly come into play, apparently. For example I have uterine polyps which everyone has, but mine are causing abnormal bleeding between periods. This has led to low iron along with the rectal bleeding I am still having some of. I am scheduled to see a gynecologist, and in the meantime my GI told me to take pregnancy vitamins to bring up my iron intake in a gentle way. I will need the polyps removed.

Without knowing your exact issues I think that you should go to your PCP or your GI and perhaps ask that they refer you to another gynecologist. An ultrasound is simple and at least that should have been done I would have thought.

My Monthly's stopped at 43 GPs didn't believe me when i went said i was to young idiots had to go back 3 times so they would give me blood tests then they said yes, told them my mum was 43 at the time as well. They say if your mum has an early meno you can also have it around the same age. Not yet diagnosed with Crohn's still going through the tests said i have IBS for the last 6 years if IBS causes this much pain when eating i want to go liquid only.
