I am gona take my 4th infusion of Remicade in a couple of days, I have had no side effects from it and it seems to be working for me symptom wise, I will have a scan in a couple of days to see if it has improved my inflammation or not. I hope it works for you.

I was on Remicade and had no problems with it. It lessened the frequency of my obstructions while I was on it. The reasons I switched to Humira were mostly financial. My copays for infusions were much higher than the prescription cost for Humira. Also the drive (gas money too!) and time associated entered into the equasion. I would get stuck in traffic either getting to or getting home from infusions and sit on the interstate for 1 1/2 hours. It took a minimum of 5 hours per infusion, and I traded all that for injecting myself.

Compared to any meds I was on before Remicade, it did wonders. I was having obstructions every 2-3 months prior to remicade. Being on it decreased the stricturing enough that I had them only twice a year while on it.

I did end up having to take meds before the infusion (I think benadryl, but it's been a long time, so I don't remember) because I had a slight reaction to the infusion, but taking a pill just before the infusion wasn't an issue for me, and I have to take benadryl before Humira shots now.
