My attempt to bring a bit of brevity and humor and lightheartedness about for all.........

So as you know I am bit north of 40 and was wondering about this:

I look in the mirror and notice the thinning hair with these great sun highlights, so awesome when the light hits just right that the hair has gone beyond blonde in the right light.............oh wait, darn, it stays that white in any light.

So how can I have MORE grey hair when I have less hair on my head?!?!?!  Am I going bald or looking more distinguished???? tongue

I was ready for gray hair , but looks like the faster it turns gray the faster it disappears. I grew a beard when I got out of the army and no one has ever seen me without it sence . Its white , so I grow it a little longer and play Santa in the fall. Its my winter coat..

Cute in the way you were talking. I thought it was only women that worried about their appearance. So
it was nice to hear you chat away. My husband has been bald on the top since he was 25, and you're right

Dunny, I was fixing the phone for a little, very old black woman that smoked a pipe while sitting on her porch . . She was watching and said she saw I was ,,gitting a little thin on top my head ,,so she says, and I quote , " You know what they says about them mens with bald spots ? " No , I asked. So she says, "them mens with no hair on the front they head,,,thems thinkers ,,,and them mens with no hair on the back they head, thems lovers,,,and them mens with no hair from back to front,,,thems ,, just think they lovers ! " I swear, I talked to that little lady and laughed till my sides hurt . She also asked if I had chirin ,,( children ) when i said I didn't , she made a face and said , " Oh Noooo ,,,You mus'ent be holdin yo mouth right. " She said she was ninty fow year old and I beleived her ...I'll never forget her either...I use to pass that way every time I could just to say hello or wave at her...

Well Sniper, I enjoyed reading that a whole bunch!

Next time you decided to stop for a chat with that woman please be sure to post to us. I've enjoyed hearing about her probably just as much as you liked visiting with her.

Ahhh, life is short.  She sounds like my kinda lady!  I wish I had her around by me...I'd visit her as much as I could!

Sukay, I was transfered from where she lived well over 25 years ago. I lost track of her but suspect she is sitting on a porch in heaven smoking her little corn cob pipe and keeping the angels smiling . I often think of her and what she must have seen in her many years of life . She touched my life only for a brief moment but I will remember her always. She had that kind of smile and sparkle in her eyes that transends age .

Awww loving the story you posted, and on the subject of ummm grey hair, how about Viking blonde???

My husband is practically bald and has been has he states " greyer by the day, since he met me !!!" cheeky !!! Lol x

Shellybum < there is no doubt I am the cause of my wifes gray hair, but I think its beautiful.

Shoot Shelly, my hair has not been viking blonde since I was in single digits.  I mean it's still blond with those extra light highlights you know, but alas, no more viking color here.

And Dunny, still shooting for cute at the same time as that was the purpose for this thread.......just don't know if a guy my age wants to be "cute" tongue

Sniper,

I have met a few people that I have clicked with right away but no one that I have felt that I knew my whole life. 

I love the quote below by Leo.  I believe that with my whole heart!  It doesn't take much at all!  I wish more people would understand that.
