* take painkillers eyes
* tackle some more dishes, but don't feel I have to do them all rolleyes
* hang the sheets I washed but didn't hang yesterday, rerinsing nono if necessary
* rest
* read
* appointment
* some movement / stretching
* read?
* work on rug?
* phone pharmacy re script


Bonus:

* dump stuff @ op shop
* post parcels
* extra tidying
* get script?
* tlc for bod? (nails?)
* wash towels?

sorry ivy my dear. i was flaked out in bed. I had a contraceptive implant put in my arm yesterday. Had to be done but ended up exhausted. I now am sporting a rather fetching white arm bandage and it pretty warm outside. Rather unimpressed, but hey ho!

Thursday TLC

* put recycling boxes out - done
* nick back the black one that was stolen - done
* do some hoovering
* prep for surgeons appt
* go to surgeons appt
* sort kitchen after appt?
* fill in the sheet of paper benefit office sent me
* put in sick note with above paper
* mail the lot

I was up for 24 hours and went to bed at 7pm last night. Slept wonderfully and woke at 7am today!

For today:
*coffee
*shower
*read
*cut backyard (weeds grow faster than grass so I must cut more often)
*vacuum
*relax and catch up on tv

Choc-I hope you're feeling ok after yesterday. Does your arm hurt?

Ivy-Are you getting worse? So sorry to hear you're having a pain med kinda day, but it sounds like you're getting stuff done...maybe the meds are helping you still be able to be productive?

nah my arm doesnt hurt at all. I was even sleeping on it last night. Its gone into the inner arm, but the bandage is so big that its totally cushioned. i might take off the top bandage later on today, see how its looking. I have to leave the steri strips on for at least 4 days. I may be raiding my first aid kit again!
Leaving for the surgeon shortly.

so here goes...i usually don't make a list of do's. i'm afraid i won't DO them and then get frustrated! but everything is worth a try! i'm all for goals!

*call and make dr. appt.
*shower and dress
*try and take a walk
*work on daughters quilt
*dishes
*nap

helped niece and nephew organize their new house for the past few days in 90 degree weather. it is very apparent now that i can not handle heat. i was swollen in my feet ankles and legs..even felt like during the night i had a slight obstruction. almost went to the hospital. but somehow made it though. was exhausted last night and over did. frustrating, to feel so young in my mind but my body won't keep up!

Appt went well. booked in for open surgery on 9th november. Surgeon seems a lovely bloke. took into account certain feras of mine, such as NG tubes and really any tubes that go places they shouldnt!!

Me and mum had a nice afternoon out after the appt. We went up to a big shopping centre, and we found a pet shop. £20 later and we have a new glittery toy (3.99), a hard plastic bed (7.50), two ceramic bowls (cant remember), a bag of dog treats (2.99) and a carton of kitten milk (0.70). Some of the stuff in there was so cute! We so nearly bought a cat collar with a bow tie on it and a diamante collar!! how cute!!!
I almost bought myself a hamster. She was up for adoption, she was part of an unwanted litter and was called Talula. Mum managed to talk me out of it, although i still fancy having one.
I've now taken the top banadage off of my arm, and its now starting to hurt. i may have to put it back on. It just has a plaster on now.

Ok, after being up for a couple hours, I fell asleep on the couch...and woke up about an hour ago. How can I sleep 12 hours, be up 2, then fall asleep again?

Oh well. Now to be productive. Going to get some stuff done off my list.

Heather...I don't always finish everything on my list. I tell myself the list is things I should TRY to do, not that I will punish myself if I don't complete.

Choc-I bet all the numbing meds wore off, that's why it's hurting how. Also, glad your surgeon reassured you. I can't imagine having that long to think about surgery though. Mine have both been emergency surgery, and I was on so many pain meds I couldn't worry.

I did see Wednesday's TLC thread and I saw Ivy's post - I'm so sorry, I got on a downer yesterday :-/

But thank you muchly for your kind words :p

I did make it to Chessington Zoo with the nephews and it was a fun day out <_<. I've just seen the time and it's way later than I thought (where did the last hour get to, seriously? :-/), so I'd better be off to bed now. I'll describe a bit more about the day tomorrow (will try to keep it brief!) and do Friday's TLCs at the same time. Goodnight :p
