humira weight gain & migrains

since I started my humira 4mnths ago I’ve gained weight up a whole size;( & Ive had more migraines than usual actual I'm having one to two a wk.  Plus I have constant congestion in my head making it harder to breath.   I think its the humira but my GI wont change my meds I also had an rash on my chest & shoulders that breaks out more in the sun.  My wrist is losing flexation & stiffening, but he looked & me & lied to me & told me these were not side effects when its clearly listed on the drugs side effects I'm so mad.   I really hope that if you are having side effects from humira that you report it to the fda or contact humira because I see were so many people are gaining weight and its not being listed.  

All the anti-TNF meds [Remicade, Enbrel, Humira] can cause weight gain in some people. There are clinical studies that show this. Your head congestion is also a known side effect of these type of medications. It's possible your increase in headaches is from the sinus congestion. Have you talked to your primary care doctor about the sinus problems and sought help from him/her?

Your rashes and joint problems might also be an effect of the Humira. There are blood tests to determine this. If your GI won't run them, then ask your primary. Sometimes we must be are own advocates and push for the tests and treatments we need. Hang in there!
