     hi there im 28 yrs old and have had crohns and colitis for 12 yrs now. i have had one bowel surgery and two others and im going on my fourth one some time this year. ive been on different medications and am now on remicade which is my last resort.

i have been on many pain medications but none have worked.

 

Welcome... It's so hard to hear how many people are diagnosed so young. My daughter is 12 and one of her cheer teammates has Crohn's.

I remember someone on here at some point talking about having a pain mgmt doc do some sort of shot to help with pain. I searched on it and bookmarked this page: http://www.medcentral.org/body.cfm?id=342 I don't have any personal experience with it or how it works, but maybe if the traditional pain meds are not helping you, this is something you could look into.

Good luck on Remicade! I got a good 2 years of remission from it, so I will send good thoughts!
