There are any number of conditions which could be causing symptoms similar to Crohn's.

Until your GI has finished working you up and gotten all the results back he is unlikely to "guess" at a diagnosis. This doesn't mean he can't try to help you feel better but it's hard for him to know what is going to work and what might make you worse.

If you have stopped eating completely you need to let the GI know that your symptoms are so bad you aren't eating.

While it's tempting to think that your current meds aren't working this may not be true. It might be that you would be much worse off without those meds.

One approach to this problem is to get off all your current meds, under medical supervision. Then you may be able to tell whether and to what exent your current meds are or are not working.

One alternative to a regular diet is going on a liquid diet using Boost or ensure or a similar product to see if this helps your symptoms.
