I understand your concerns completely. I was exactly in your situation 3 years ago, very skeptical of any "miracle" cures. And it was quite a lot of money. So it took me 3 years of reading various research, participating on the yahoo board, talking to people on the forum who took it and follow up with them to make sure it wasn't a scam. Hopefully I can shorten that amount of time for you. If you want to talk on the phone, I am available to answer any questions by phone or video skype (if internet posts are not enough).
Addressing some things you mentioned:
I am not hosting the wiki site. If you read the "about
" section, you'll see that it was started by Paul, a Crohn's patient a few months ago. I do actively add to the site as I liked the design and I want to spread information about
helminthic therapy. It just seemed very useful, so I took advantage of it.
I did meet with Joel Weinstock at a presentation in the UN a few days ago but I don't advocate taking his product, it was too expensive and didn't work nearly as well as NA and TT. Weinstock isn't interested in NA and TT either, it's his main competitor as a matter of fact. Weinstock's company Ovamed makes TSO (Trichuris suis ova) which got GMP approval recently and is now undergoing clinical trials. TSO needs to be taken every 2 weeks, NA and TT live for years. I have no connection to Weinstock or Ovamed.
The seller that I got NA and TT from is definitely making money on the therapy and I never claimed otherwise. Why is he charging so much? Because he is the only reliable provider of it and demand for his product is very inelastic (for those familiar with basic economics of supply and demand). Essentially he charges so much because he can. FDA ran him out of the country, he had to leave everything and run. He doesn't have a job and this is his source of income. I am not going to say it's bad or good that he charges so much - it's his call. I personally would charge less but I am not selling it as I don't want to end up the same way.
How do you know he is reliable? You don't. You can find out more by talking to his patients (like me and other people on the yahoo forum). Is there insurance? No. This is an experimental therapy with absolutely no warranties of any kind that you do at your own risk. You get sick - it's your problem. However, if you read up on it, you'll know that it's very well studied and there is virtually no risk, especially keeping in mind that you can always get rid of them with albendazole.
about
documented studies with helminths - there were at least 4 or 5 already and the papers are on the wiki site.
You will have to make up your mind. I understand that it's scary and it feels like a risk and no one wants to be the idiot who loses 4 grand for some snake oil cure but because this therapy is essentially illegal in the US currently, that's the way things are now.
If you read the wiki, you will see that there is a DIY section and you might want to try your luck there - it should be significantly cheaper but obviously homegrown solution would be more risky than going with a reliable provider who did it for a few years now. The choice is yours.

I appreciate your obvious knowledge of Helminth Therapy, and there is no doubt everyone reading this is dreaming that it will work for them as well as it did for you, however there are a few concerns which I'm sure you can understand, why someone might question your intent. 100% of your posts on this forum tout the miraculous benefit of Helminth Therapy, you mention support the seller's notion that they do not make money on the service, which I disagree with completely. As you say yourself, it is not difficult to produce, and I think the unlicensed providers are making very good money doing this. They know that there are just the right number of people with that kind of money to keep them busy enough and maximize profit. There also has to be someone to market it, and being that it isn't approved in the U.S., the internet is a great forum to gain free advertising. You mention that you met one of the doctors involved in offering the product, perhaps there is a financial benefit for you to refer Clients. I respect your wish to share your positive experiences, most people here would do that with any drug, but to create your own website dedicated to it? The bottom line is that there is profit in selling Helminths, and very few if any documented case studies that involve a significant number of participants. I don't think Helminth Therapy is dangerous, but I don't know that I would willing send someone $3900 without being able to verify the quantity and quality of what I'm receiving, the safety of it - what kind of insurance does that provider have if I become seriously ill? I truly hope this is the miracle cure for everyone that is was for you, but believing solely in internet posts is difficult. I do hope to come back here one day and applaud you for sharing your information but for now I remain reserved.
