We had to get away for a while. Spent a few days up north in a small cabin in the woods. Did some rock hounding and scored some good novaculite for making arrow heads. The first night was spent in a hotel though and I must say it is a terrible thing to find a full length mirror on the inside of the bathroom door. Nothing more depressing than looking at yourself sitting on the throne ,,full size ,, at 4 AM when the old gut goes on a rampage. What the ------- were they thinking when they came up with that idea ????The rest of the trip was great though. I think my wife is feeling better now and having started her cancer treatment is ready to fight this . Hope all of you guys have been hanging tough.

Thanks for checking in, been wondering how things were going. I think sometimes we need little trips or distractions like that just to regroup and clear our heads. I always think and feel better after a break from the work world. Take care.

I'm glad you were able to get away. You both were through the wringer recently. I think a big part of fighting anything is the mind set, so I'm glad your wife came back refreshed and ready to do the big battle.

We have to keep humor with the stupid disease or it will take us over.
My family often laughs at how we can discuss farts, crap, and more over dinner and it doesn't bother anyone!

Thanks everyone. Glad I can smile again and bring a little grin to you guys too. I think the get away was just what we needed. Sort of a spirit renewal for us both. My wife will have some minor surgery Friday and will be off her feet for a while so I'm glad she got a bit of a recharge . Now she will have to eat what I cook so its good that her spirit is up for it. I'm great at what I call ,,,Round Food .. You know ? Burgers , pancakes , waffles , pie ,,,you know ,,,round food ...

I've had snake and no it does not taste like chicken, neither does gator but I never eat the eyes. Maybe with a little pepper ? Naaaaah. Remember your math too Randy,, Pie R not square, pie R round , cornbread R square.
