Humira

I am new here and so thankful t find you guys!!  I had my 2nd resection last Nov.  I will be (should have already) starting humira soon.  It has been in my frig atleast 2 weeks.  But, I am concerned with flu season here and not yet having the flu shot;  Would it be wise for me to get the flu shot and then wait about a week b/f beginning the humira?  I have the starter kit.  Which means I will need to take 4 injections for my 1st dose and two weeks later take 2 injections and every two weeks thereafter.  Please any advise will be appreciated!!  Thank you!

There is a thread about this same topic that I started yesterday- there is lots of good info on it- it's called 'flu shot and humira.' I had my flu shot today and I start my humira this week. I don't yet have the starter kit, I will be picking it up as soon as I get the go ahead from the drug plan. I spoken with the Humira nurse who said to get the shot but check with my dr about what day is the best day to take the first dosage (I also have to take 4 the first day and 2 two weeks later as do you). There were a lot of helpful comments on my thread so please take a look. I think overall if it is a live vaccine then you have to wait, but if not then you dont have to wait. But I am going to confirm with my dr's office on Monday to be sure.
