Endo is a nasty thing; does anyone connect that with your cysts? Some women I know w/endo have had a lap to clean out the pelvis and then either try to get pg right away or go on some kind of bcp (including lupron) to prevent further damage. I think you will find a lot of support on the web - there are various internet fertility groups, including some who probably focus specifically on endo.
I had cysts sometimes and they sure are painful, but I never had to have them removed. They usually resolved on their own in one cycle. Have you had your baseline hormone levels checked (like a day 3 E2 and FSH)? I have come to believe that CD in the pelvis can affect your endocrine system and maybe there's an issue there that is behind the cyst problem. Even though I was working with a reproductive endocrinologist for many years, I never heard of any way to prevent cysts.
Thank you so much for your reply. Actually it's exactly what I did. I had the lap surgery to remove the endo I had, then the next cycle we starting trying for a baby, for 7 months including 2 inseminations. However just after 3 months of menstrual cycles the endo has come back. Yes the believe the cyst is endo related. Lupron was the main med he wanted me on, but I already deal with arthritis and sore body, this wasn't for me. And I had this gut feeling if I did go on it, the chances of having a baby afterwards would be 0 to none.
Not 1 doc has told me there is something to do to prevent the cyst besides stopping my menstrual cycle. I am afraid of the chances my body is going to go through with the pill, but it seems like this is my only way!! Thank you again so much, I truly appreciate your time you took to reply to me.
