UPDATE: Went to natural dr today

I really can't go into specifics because I don't understand all the fancy talk they use, but found out I have an allergy to wheat and dairy.  I also have a parasite in my stomach.  There is also an issue going on with my ovaries but he said to take care of the stomach issues first then we can work on other stuff.

I was given:

Wormwood Combo for the parasites

Saccharomyces Boulardii Capsules (SBC)  

GI complete to help heal my stomach

BetaZyme

Overall I'm pretty happy with the experience, I figured wheat and dairy were the culprit. The place was packed with people, they have their own store there with foods, personal products, and supplements. The best part was I paid LESS for the appointment AND the supplements then I do for one office vist with my GI.  My next appointment is in January so I'm going to do the gluten/diary free diet until then and see how I feel.

How did they determine you have an allergy to wheat and to dairy?

How did they determine you have a parasite?

They used muscle strength response testing to determine both.

MRT doesn't seem like a very reliable test. But I haven't done a lot of research on it.

My nephew was diagnosed with wheat and dairy intolerances by a naturopath with bloodwork.

It may not seem reliable for some people, but in all honesty Western medicine and testing haven't been reliable for me.  I see no harm at all in changing my diet to see if it will help, it's better then poisoning my body with drugs...which I'm still on Methorexate (hasn't done a darn thing for me, I was just afraid of ending up in the hospital again, so I kept taking it)  It's funny because the second he mentioned my ovaries the first thing I thought about is how I was warned not to get pregnant while I'm on it.  I'm not positive Metho is the reason with the problem with my ovaries.  I just think it's crazy considering this dr has no idea what medications I'm on.  My GI has has had me on Vancomycin for what he thinks may be C. diff for over 3 months now and I have had no improvement at all, this dr picked up on a parasite right away.  I've taken one dose of the Wormwood Combo and my stomach is already calming down, stools have gone from liquid yellow, to semi formed and almost brown.

They don't do bloodwork in this office everything is done totally noninvasive.

I wish you luck, you've been struggling for a while now. If I remember right you were having issues since last year when you recommended that surgeon at the DDC. It can get frustrating when docs aren't looking or thinking outside the box!

I'm BIG on diet and natural remedies. I use them every day (in addition to my meds).

I'm not sure what sort of MRT the naturopath did on you, but one told me to stand completely still and be balanced, stick my arms out, hold a nut product in front of me, then ask the universe if I could eat it. I thought she was nuts. lol

Thank you for the support.  I've actually been having problems since 2002 when I was diagnosed, I've never been in remission nor have I ever responded to medications other then 100mg of prednisone for over a year.  I figured 3 resections within that time was enough and obviously western medicine wasn't going to work with me.  I loved all the dr's in the DDC, and I plan to continue seeing my GI, he knows I went to this other dr and he's actually pretty interested in hearing about what happened.  I needed to do this for a peace of mind so that I can say that I've tried "everything".

I'd think someone was nuts too if they did that to me.  The MRT that I had done was sort of similar though.  I laid on my back and raised my left arm in the air.  The dr put pressure on my arm and I was to hold back his pressure and not let my arm go down.  He did this while pushing on different points on my body, and then did it again while fingers on my right hand were touching vials of different foods and metals.  Then once he found the things I was allergic to, he put vials of different supplements on my stomach and when I was able to hold back his pressure those are the ones he gave me.  It may sound crazy, but I physically could not hold my arm up when he put dairy and wheat on me, and he used no more pressure then with any other vial.
