OT - Job help

I need a little advice. My fiance and I moved in August to a new town and a new state. Due to the economy we either stayed where we were and I had a job but he could not find one in his field or we moved and I would not have a job and he would. Well we moved because his new job was about 3 times what I make so if someone was going to be unemployed it made more sense for it to be me. With that said, I still do need to work, want to work, and although his job is well paying it has terrible benefits so I am hoping to find a job with better benefits so we can go on mine.

Where we moved to is a very small town, we are used to living in a metropolitan area. I am having a lot of trouble with my job search. There are almost no options in what my degree and job experience are in so I have been exploring other options like trying to work for the local hospital or university in an entry level job (both has awesome benefits)!

My question is this, in my cover letter or interview how do I get them to recognize although I may not have clinical or collegiate experience ect that my prior work experience still makes me a great candidate and I am very willing to learn and start at entry level. The one interview I did get they said 3 times in the interview how over qualified I was, like they couldn't get past it. This is all new to me, I have been fortunate in the past that I found jobs that were in my field and my experience usually spoke for itself so I could at least always get an interview.

Going into winter it is starting to get bleak and we really need better benefits once married. With my Crohn's and wanting to start a family his benefits while being better than nothing, will cost us a lot and cause us to travel for just ok health care.

Sorry if this is long, but we have such broad backgrounds on here and are so good at giving advice I thought you guys might have some words of wisdom!

You could maybe somehow word it at the next interview that you are aware that you may be over qualified for this new posistion but you are ready to try something new. You really are interested and are easy to train because of your qualifications. You don't care if you are over qualified or not you feel that you would be an excellent canidate for the posistion. They won't need to train you as much as they would if someone came in without experience in any job. You have the experience and held a job. You know the pay will be less and you are willing to be have a entry level job for the benefits. Not wording this the way I want to so hope this makes sense.
