Thanks, folks *hugs* :p
The virus has obviously gone, but I went and acted pretty stupidly anyway :-/ ... It was my mum's birthday, so we went out for a meal. If it'd been yesterday, absolutely no way I could've eaten anything, but today - I could and did <_<. I reintroduced my stomach to food in full glory: had a main course of Scottish dry-aged steak in a diane sauce cooked to medium-rare perfection, followed by a dessert of lime and cranberry bread & butter pudding. The steak was beautiful and really hit the spot. The bread and butter pudding was lovely; the lime and cranberry worked quite well, even though I still prefer it just plain and classic. The vanilla custard which went with it was among the nicest custard I've ever had, though.
There were consequences, but I can hardly complain :/
I do find restaurant portions too much nowadays; in just about
every case half of what I'm served would be more than enough. But I couldn't bear to leave half of it. Take after my mum in that respect; always have to clear my plate. Anyway, that's the first step taken towards putting on a bit more weight :p (Seriously, my weight was underneath 6 stone for the first time this morning - 5st, 13lb. Maybe water loss caused it to drop that low, but even so... :/)
When we got home, watched Miracle On 34th Street, the old black and white version. Struggled a bit to concentrate through the groaning, uncomfortable stomach and low-grade fever, but enjoyed it all the same.
@choc - Just enjoy the high while it's still there! I'm the last one to talk about
meds but are you on any maintenance meds? After surgery would be when I would be most willing to go on them, funnily enough, because I would want to try to prolong the remission for as long as possible. Nothing is guaranteed, but...
@Becky - We had a bit of sleet and snow today as well. And we freak out over snow too.
*collapses* Phew. It's really late. Gonna drink a glass of water (feel a bit parched) and go to bed. Goodnight, guys :p
PS: Forgot to say, I fufilled the first two TLCs. My mum came with me and chose her birthday bouquet, thus completely ruining the surprise element, but oh well. She's always saying she doesn't like surprises anyway <_<
