hey steve, lots of folks have fevers and lots don't, it depends, I only had a fever once with cd, when I was super ill my fever was 106, after that i never had a fever with cd and I've had cd for 40 years, until they did surgery, after that never had one, but the time I had the huge fever it was like I hit the point where my body couldn't take it and hense the fever, they operated and my fever went away, but I still had more surgery, I had 3 surgeries within a 6 month period and they removed 8ft of small bowel, first was exploratory to see why I was obstructed, then a few months later they did bowel bypass, (worthless), then I almost died and they had no choice but to go in and remove disease, this was 1971 so you can imagine how little they knew about
cd in fact it was called ilitis, crohns wasn't evan crohns back then, they have come along way as far as med's go. surgery can really help get you to remission, you have young children, you want very much to be there for your kids. good luck to you, you will get some great advice here
