Thanks for asking Vicky. Still fighting a good fight here I guess. Santa brought me a kidney stone bright and early Christmas morning and I spent the whole day getting it unwrapped. Wife got bronchitis and shared it so we both have been down for the whole holiday season. Yep, theres no place like the ER for the holidays, but the meds are starting to work and we are both feeling a little better. Good thing is ,,we did not gain weight over the week.

Hope your grandson doesn't have whooping cough. I seem to recall having it as a child and it was hard to cure. Maybe they can knock it out faster these days though. But when I was a child all they could do was make some kind of potion and then the witch doctor would say some magic words and dance around with a spear and a shield. All that mumbo jumbo and goblygook stuff takes for every to work, unlike the antibiotics I'm on now which , hmmm , wait a minute, I've been on this stuff for over a week and drinking cough syrup and decongestant pills and gut enzimes and still feeling like crap. Anyone know where I can find a witch doctor ???? As I recall they did not take medicare but would heal you for a chicken ....

Christine O'Donnell, the woman who ran for Senator from Delaware, said she wasn't a witch after she said she was a witch. So maybe now she's a witch doctor. I think, since she lost the election, she may be unemployed and would work for a chicken!

Olderthandirt, seems to me that anyone interested in the political arena suffers from self worship in one form or another. I point to the book , Animal Farm, where all animals were deemed equal, but some were more equal than others. Just as some doctors have no idea what we deal with with crohns, the so called leaders have no clue of what it is like to struggle, because they live in some fantacy world . Heck, you cant even afford to run for office if your not rich or supported by the rich. I wonder some times where I will get the cash for my wifes cancer treatment let alone my own . All the years I have worked and payed into the system , now they tell me , sorry , we are running out of money. Not our money, hey we have plenty for our system, but your system,,,nope your money is gone. I never worked to become rich. I have little , but what I have I got honest . I have saved some only to watch it go up in smoke and taxes. I may be breaking a rule here talking about this. Not my intention to do so. Just my own personal feelings . Feelings like fear, anger, loss. Real feelings . I worry about my family and how I will take care of them. My father fought a war so I would not have to fight. I fought a war so no one else would have to fight. Now our children fight . If the money spent on wars had been spent on medicine and food would we be in this state ? Pardon my rambling, I'm just an old man that woke up tired of being sick and sick of being tired. I wish I had been born a horse. A bullet between the eyes would be a great kindness now.
