My kitty of 11 years has passed away due to kidney failure. It was a pretty quick decline. He went from 20 pounds down to 8. So sad. He was in serious pain and no longer wanted to be comforted. Whats sad is my dog brought me to him. Then hovered over him shaking and crying, real tears. After we brought him to the vet and came home empty handed, the dog is freaking out looking for him. That was yesterday. Today she is standing right in front of me while I watch TV, crying and will not sit down. Dogs are sooo smart. I luv animals but this part makes it almost unbearable. It just sux! I feel a flare up comin on.

I'm so so sorry sickofitall... I have always had a full house of furry friends. Losing them is so hard. Missing their sounds, and their "voices." And, I completely agree that animals are very aware. they know so much. I hope you and your pup find comfort. :-(((( Hugs...

I have also seen animals grieve and I know they feel when we do too. Sorry about
kitty and give some extra love to dog .

Oh, that's terrible. I'm so sorry for what the three of you have gone through. My sympathy to you and your dog. It's so hard to see an animal upset and not to be able to explain what has happened :-(.

Oh how very sad...for all of you. Bless your doggy's heart and yours, too.

I lost my cat a coup;e of weeks ago (pancreas, liver failure) Strangely enough the cat that's
left is sooo happy. I have a feeling that my other one (a Maine Coon) was beating him up.
How strange animals are.
I know how you feel (((hugs)))

I'm sorry. I lost my kitty last summer and I still miss her so. She was always right beside me. :( Like Dunny, we had 2 cats and the other one was finally becoming friendly. It was like she was telling me Mama I always wanted to be an only kitty. Strange how some animals truly love each other and other merely tolerate.

I lost my favorite kitty at the same time I became terribly sick with crohn's, hubby moved out, mother moved in, lost my job cuz I was sick and my whole world was a mess. The thing that bothered me the most was that I lost the kitty. And I mourned her for at least two years.

Dunny, if your cat was roughing the other cat up maybe there is foul play here. Could be that he slipped something in the others cat nip ,,,,nine times ...Gives one paws dont it ?

Yep that is one of the worst things in the world to deal with. I had to do it twice now and have set myself up for it again by getting 2 new dogs. I really do feel for you.
