Lots of ice this morning and schools and bridges are closed in areas. Sleet is our usual stuff as snow seldom makes it down here, but we do get frozen rain. Ice storms hit a little north of me but we get some warmth from the gulf and stay just a bit warmer than most so not as bad yet. People here dont know how to drive in this stuff so there is a great danger when getting on the road. I'm hoping they close where my wife works so she can be off of the road before the real bad stuff hits this evening.

That's the one thing I hate Sniper, freezing rain. You can't see it until it accumulates. This is the
usual cause of our power outages.

Some parts of Ontario got walloped with at least 2ft of snow, drifts make it even deeper. I got about 10 inches.

Yep Dunny, the ice builds up on power wires and tree limbs and they all come crashing down . I have had to work such storm damage and can say with out doubt it is the most miserable work I have ever done . We would fix one broken spot and just about that time another branch or tree or pole would snap from the weight and we would start all over againg . Really feel bad for the utility repair people out there keeping the electricty and phone lines working. Its cold and its dangerous too.
