Do all of you have Crohns? I have microscopic colitis and am on Entocort. I just wanted to know if there are any longterm side effects? So far I have none. Also, I read somewhere that entocort is mostly released in the small intestines? But my problem is in the colon. Confused.

Hi ampta2 and welcome to the Healingwell Crohns forum. Yes most of us do have Crohns Disease. There are a few spouses or parents of folks with Crohns, but the majority of us have Crohns.

Entocort is a steroid and it usually given for about 3 months. I prefer Entocort to Prednisone as it does have less systemic side effects. But some do get some side effects. For example, some get insomnia.

Whenever I have used it in the past, I never experienced any side effects and my Crohns is in the small and large intestine.
