Finally, I have some good news to share! I went to the GI for my examination and my fistula has shrunk to the size of a pinhole! It was 4 to 6 mm in size before. I knew I had been feeling better and the output from the fistula had decreased to almost nothing for the past 10 days, but I was afraid to even HOPE so I was just crossing my fingers. I've had this for one year now and it didn't respond to humira or remicaide. Now I've been on tacrolimus for 4 months and 6 mp for 2 months and finally something has helped it to heal!!! I am so happy, I just want to laugh & dance & holler! (If only my feet would let me, but I won't even complain about
the joint pain / neuropathy at least for tonight!)
Hurray!!! I hope this brings hope to someone else who is suffering... This is a tough disease and I have tears in my eyes, even though it's good tears this time... I've cried thru a whole year! Tonight it's happy tears of relief, I still have a lot of healing to do, but this is the first good news in this flare up!
Thanks for listening!
