First Gi Appt. since starting Remicaide

My boy went to see the GI yesterday. has a 5cm hardening or mass. GI says it  shrank and moved, and there is no sign of blockage. I guess that's good news. he's officially up to 71 lbs from 64 january 15th. Doc still wants him to take suppliments, and that he can have 3 iron infusions if we want. next blood test march 15.

Sounds like things are going well for your son. Glad to hear about the weight gain too. Whoo Hoo!!

It's nice when things start to go your way for a change. Hopefully your son has years of remission on Remicade. :)

he got braces on wednesday. when they test for inflammatory markers, won't the pressure fromthe braces skew the results?

I am thinking not. I don't think that would affect his inflammatory markers. Sending good wishes both your way. Hugs!

thanks Gail. I just thought that since the braces are inflaming his gums and cheeks, the reaction might be reflected in his numbers.
