I knew I should trust my instincts.

Just saw my GI today and got the results from the CT and blood work. I have an Ileus. They could see pockets where my small intestines just are not waking up after the surgery. I have some levels on my blood work that are out of whack but nothing that is too bad yet. He put me on a medication for gastroparesis that I have to take 3 times a day before meals (that would be great if I was actually eating meals), and it will hopefully help my body wake up. Of course I had to get it from a compounding pharmacy and it isn't covered by insurance, but at this point I don't care. I just need to feel better. I am almost 3 weeks post op and almost 2 months since the last time I ate an actual meal.

They also saw a pocket of fluid near my incision. At this point there is no infection in it, but we will be watching it to make sure I don't get some sort of abscess.

Sorry to hear to you are still going through so much post surgery, it's so hard to catch a break sometime, but at least you have some answers and I wish you luck and hope you get some relief soon!
